La vecchia croce era stata installata dalla stessa stazione del Soccorso Alpino ed era stata gravemente danneggiata dalla tempesta Vaia. Croce che \u00e8 formata da bossoli di artiglieria della Grande Guerra, saldati assieme grazie al grande lavoro di Bruno Sorar\u00f9.
