Il nome, di origine dei nativi americani, richiama la fioritura primaverile e non il colore reale del satellite, che resta invariato. Tuttavia, la presenza di foschia pu\u00f2 donare alla luna sfumature calde, tendenti al giallo, come osservato nello scatto che illumina la suggestiva Gusela del Vescov\u00e0.
